A few years before their relationship turned romantic, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco collaborated on the song ‘I Can’t Get Enough’. The singer starred in the music video and shared a cute scene with Blanco as she was in pyjamas, and he dressed as a big white teddy bear.

After the release of their song, Gomez, in December, revealed that she’d been dating Blanco for about six months. However, the ‘Lose You to Love Me’ singer had started dropping hints about their relationship much earlier by liking and commenting on Instagram posts that said the two were dating.
She also replied to some fans who questioned the relationship, writing in the comments, “Then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”

In another Instagram recap of her “favourite moments” from her time off in New York City the same week, Gomez also slid in a sweet snap of herself lying on Blanco’s lap while they embraced. In other pictures in the same carousel, Gomez posed with Blanco, who enveloped her tight in his arms.
21 December 2023: Gomez shares what she’s looking for in a partner
In an interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Gomez revealed that self-respect and holding space for others’ feelings are the non-negotiables she looks for in a partner and her relationship.
Though she didn’t name Blanco, she said she’s started to be involved with the ‘right kind’ of people.
“Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people, because it’s a bit of both,” Gomez said in the interview, which was translated from Spanish to English.

After the Golden Globes, Gomez brought Blanco to the 2024 Emmys, where her show Only Murders in the Building co-starring Martin Short and Steve Martin was nominated for Best Comedy Series.
