Hong Kong V.I.Ps, it’s time to rejoice. BigBang member Taeyang just announced that he will hold a concert in Hong Kong this October as part of his solo tour. This comes after Taeyang made his return with the EP ‘Down To Earth’ last year.
The upcoming solo tour called ‘The Light Year’ marks his first since his comeback. The Hong Kong concert will also be his first one in the city after seven years. Keep reading to find out more details about the Taeyang concert in Hong Kong.
BigBang Taeyang announces concert in Hong Kong this October
Good news for Hong Kong V.I.Ps! BigBang member Taeyang will return to the city for a concert. Mark your calendar for October 25 at 7 pm as Taeyang will perform at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
Pre-sale will be available on August 29 at 10 am until 11:59 pm via trip.com. Meanwhile, Live Nation members will also have pre-sale access on September 2 from 12 pm until 11:59 pm. Public sale will start on September 3 at 12 pm via cityline.com.
Tickets cost HKD 1999 (VIP), HKD 1499, HKD 999, and HKD 799 (all seated) respectively. VIP ticket holders will get a premium reserved ticket, access to the sound check party, VIP laminate with lanyard, and access to the VIP merch line.
More about Taeyang
Dong Young-bae or Taeyang made his debut in 2006 as a member of the K-pop group BigBang. Taeyang pursued a solo career in 2008 with the EP ‘Hot’. It went on to win Best R&B & Soul Album at the 6th Korean Music Award.
In 2010, he released his full-length album ‘Solar’ which was followed by ‘Rise’ in 2014. The lead single ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’ peaked at number one on the Billboard K-pop Hit 100. It also won Song of the Year at several award shows including MAMA, Melon Music Awards, and Golden Disc Awards. In 2017, he released his next solo album ‘White Night’ and most recently, the EP ‘Down to Earth’.
