Michelin Bib Gourmand 2024 Guide: These Are Hong Kong And Macau’s Best Restaurants

It’s here! Every spring, the Michelin Guide gives recognition to incredible value-for-money gourmet experiences with the Bib Gourmand. The list of 2024 is here for us to add even more places to dine at affordable prices. These establishments have some of the best menus in Hong Kong and Macau, but they also won’t break the bank. Prices usually fall under HKD 400 in Hong Kong or MOP in Macau, yet you get quality food.

In 2024, the Michelin Bib Gourmand is given to a total of 77 food establishments, with 67 in Hong Kong and 10 in Macau. Out of the 10 new entrants, seven are from Hong Kong while three are from Macau. As usual, they range from traditional hawker stallers to contemporary dining spots. Find out who made it to the list of Michelin Bib Gourmand in Hong Kong and Macau!

7 new Michelin Bib Gourmand entries in Hong Kong

Ăn Chơi

This newly-added Vietnamese joint is run by a binational Chinese-Vietnamese couple. It captures the liveliness of Vietnamese street stalls. The signature here is the bánh mì sandwich, available in a range of fillings. They also offer different versions of phở from various regional traditions.

Address: Shop A, 15-17 Mercer Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

Cheung Hing Kee (Tsim Sha Tsui)

Cheung Hing Kee doesn’t just take pride in its sheng jian bao with soupy pork filling. They also have other varieties such as shrimp, mala pork, truffle, crabmeat, and roe. Add the springy buns to the mix.

Address: 48 Lock Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Little Napoli

Little Napoli moved from the Michelin Selected list to gaining the Bib Gourmand recognition. This Happy Valley favourite stays true to the chef’s hometown traditions, with classic Neapolitan pizzas and street food like ripieno fritto and panuozzo made with ingredients from Naples.

Address: Shop 1, 8 King Kwong Street, Happy Valley, Hong Kong

Man Yuen

Man Yuen might only be a newcomer to the East Kowloon dining scene, but crowds have already been flocking to this hidden gem (maybe not too hidden anymore after the Bib recognition). It’s tucked away inside a public housing estate and yet many come far and wide to try the quality Cantonese dishes.

Address: Shop S02, 2/F, Tin Ma Court Shopping Centre, 55 Chuk Yuen Road, Wong Tai Sin, Hong Kong

Sang Kee

After its relocation, Sang Kee manages to nab a Bib Gourmand again. This restaurant has been a staple in Wan Chai since 1976. The new location (also in Wan Chai) is more spacious and can accommodate more patrons. Despite that, the menu remains the same and the food is as great as ever. Dig into favourites such as salt-baked chicken, baked fish intestine, and more.

Address: 3/F, Sunshine Plaza, 33 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Sang Kee Foods (Western District)

Sang Kee Foods earns the coveted Bib Gourmand for its famous Chiuchow-style goose. The nose-to-tail concept for the marinated goose is made especially with grain-fed goose from Chiuchow. The result? A dish with a firm texture and incredibly meaty flavour.

Address: Shop 4, 263 Queen’s Road West, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong

Twins Liangpi Limited (Mong Kok)

After moving to Mong Kok from Prince Edward, Twins Linagpi Limited now has a dine-in option. Hence, attaining the Bib Gourmand after its relocation. The star here is the glass noodles dressed in a secret blend of chilli vinegar topped with shredded cucumber, coriander, peas, and ground peanuts.

Address: G/F, 99 Hak Po Street, Mong Kok, Hong Kong
