The game puts you in the shoes of Kay Vess, an outlaw seeking freedom and all the means to start a new life. As Kay, you get to explore distinct planets across the galaxy, some of which are iconic while others are new. Nix is your companion on the journey and together, the two of you must fight (and steal!) for good. The game also pushes Kay to take on several crime syndicates while putting her on the most wanted list.
Ubisoft also revealed that Star Wars: Outlaws is set between the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

As the first ever fully open-world Star Wars game, Outlaws has a lot going for it. Kay Vess the scoundrel will be able to travel through planets, learn new skills, find some expert gunsmiths to build her unique weapons and much more. There’s lockpicking, there’s vehicular combat and players can quick-draw their blaster to take down a bunch of enemies at once.
It looks like Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment went all out with their Star Wars game. Besides the main quest, there will be various side activities for players to take part in, which means there will be a bunch of reasons for the players to explore and travel between various planets.

It has Snowdrop running under the hood
For those wondering about its visuals, the proof is in the pudding; the gameplay trailers, long demos and everything related to this game looks just mind-blowing. It’s not surprising either; Massive Entertainment is using its popular Snowdrop engine to design this game.
This engine was previously used for The Division and its sequel, which are hailed as two of the best-looking games of the last generation.
