Ubisoft Forward 2024 is just around the corner and this year, the showcase promises a slew of new titles as well as exciting updates for games that have already been announced. Scheduled for 11 June 2024, the showcase can be streamed at 3:00 am HKT.

As the date quickly approaches, fans have been speculating about all the new games they are likely to get a glimpse of at Ubisoft Forward 2024. Historically, Ubisoft has revealed some major and surprising new titles during such showcases. This year too, fans can expect to see a mix of new IPs, sequels and of course, some surprises.

From new details about Assassin’s Creed Shadows to the Splinter Cell remake, there’s much to be excited about. We also hope Ubisoft will actually show us some gameplay for these games rather than just new cinematic trailers.

On that note, here’s a look at our predictions for all the Ubisoft Forward 2024 games we are likely to see at the event.

Ubisoft Forward 2024 games predictions: Every title we might see this year

1. Star Wars Outlaws

An open-world action-adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, Outlaws takes things to the next level in many ways. For one, this will be the first ever Star Wars game to feature a fully open world. Players will also be able to start chases, engage in combat with law enforcement and drive various vehicles.

When not driving sci-fi vehicles, players will be engaging in third-person combat using cool blasters or taking down enemies through stealth. Star Wars Outlaws also features a branching dialogue system, which means there are likely to be multiple endings to this game’s story. While the game is set to release on 30 August 2024, it will be great to get a closer look at its unique world.

2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Yes, Ubisoft has finally done it! They listened to their fans and developed an Assassin’s Creed game that is set in Japan. After Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was a more focused game with a smaller open world to explore, Shadows will, once again, take the series back to what Odyssey and Valhalla were doing by being a role-playing game (RPG) set in a massive open world.

The game will feature two protagonists – one is a female shinobi, whose name is yet to be revealed, while the other is Yasuke, an African samurai based on a real-life historical figure. Here’s a fun fact – this is the first game in the franchise to feature a real-life historical figure as one of the protagonists. How cool is that? Here’s hoping that Ubisoft will showcase these new characters, their abilities and the game’s newly designed world in a lengthy gameplay video.

3. XDefiant

XDefiant is yet another attempt from Ubisoft at releasing a multiplayer shooter to rival the likes of Apex Legends. Of all the Ubisoft Forward 2024 games, fans are most likely to get a demo for XDefiant Season 1. If we are lucky, Ubisoft might even show us what the battle pass will look like.

4. The Rogue Prince of Persia

Despite being a relatively small game in scale, The Rogue Prince of Persia is one of Ubisoft’s most exciting titles this year.

This side-scrolling, roguelike (as its name suggests) game was developed by Evil Empire, one of the developers of Dead Cells. With its smooth combat, beautifully designed minimalistic world and responsive parkour system, everything works in tandem to give gamers a fun yet challenging experience.

Ubisoft will probably even announce some new content for it, just to increase interest among fans. This strategy makes sense as the Rogue Prince of Persia has flown under the radar for most gamers.

5. Far Cry 7

Ubisoft has not uttered a word about this series since they released the final expansion for Far Cry 6. This cinematic first-person shooter franchise has stayed afloat for quite a while, thanks to those eccentric villains played by well-known faces, be it Far Cry 3’s Vaas played by Michael Mando (Better Call Saul’s Nacho) to Far Cry 6’s El Presidente portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul’s Gus Fring).

Well, if rumours are to be believed, Ubisoft is working on yet another instalment in this series, a game that will change this franchise forever – Far Cry 7. From having a time limit to a non-linear narrative, Far Cry 7 will supposedly be a game-changer in more ways than one. Given the buzz it is generating, we can’t wait to get our first glimpse at this exciting new game at Ubisoft Forward 2024.

6. Splinter Cell remake

The last major game in the Splinter Cell franchise was Blacklist, which was released back in 2013. Nearly a decade later in 2021, Ubisoft announced that it was working on a remake of the first Splinter Cell game. Now, three years after that announcement, it won’t be wrong for us to expect a glimpse of this upcoming game at this year’s Forward event.

Since its announcement, fans have wondered what this game will look like, what engine will it use and what platforms will it release on. As such, it will be pretty exciting to see the Splinter Cell remake, among other Ubisoft Forward 2024 games.

7. The Division 3

In late 2023, Ubisoft took to its website to announce The Division 3. This third instalment in Ubisoft’s third-person open-world online action game was announced rather unceremoniously in an article.

While the announcement is recent, it will not be surprising if someone from Ubisoft or developer Massive Entertainment’s team walks up to the stage to give fans new details about this game.

To sum up, the list of Ubisoft Forward 2024 games we are likely to get a glimpse of is not short, making it an unmissable event for gamers.
