A mega sporting event that gives back

The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is one of the city’s largest sporting events. For years, it has attracted local and international runners to compete at the highest level. To ramp up the excitement, organisers will rally close to a thousand local shops in the race districts to participate in the event in various ways.

In addition, the event will continue its mission to spread positive energy to the community through its Marathon Charity Programme. They have raised nearly HKD 8 million for 28 charitable organisations in previous editions. So, in 2025, organisers will take a step further by doubling the number of beneficiaries to about 50 charitable organisations.
