Actor Jacob Elordi, known for his role in Saltburn, is currently the subject of a police investigation following an alleged incident with a reporter in Sydney, Australia.

Why is Jacob Elordi facing police investigation in Australia

Elordi, who gained significant recognition through his role in the hit HBO series Euphoria, reportedly had a disagreement with Joshua Fox, an employee of KIIS FM. This incident took place after the actor had returned to his home country of Australia in preparation for his appearance at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards.

It was at the Clovelly Hotel where Elordi found himself crossing paths with Fox. As the reporter began to question him, the exchange between the two men seemed to escalate, ultimately leading to the supposed altercation.

The New South Wales Police have since confirmed that they are in the process of investigating the incident, which is reported to have occurred outside a hotel in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

The police were informed about the alleged assault, which involved a 26-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, at approximately 3.30 AM on February 3. Despite the intense nature of the altercation, it was reported that Fox did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.

Neither Elordi nor his team have released any official statements regarding the incident. In the aftermath of the incident, a number of the actor’s fans took to X (Twitter) to express their thoughts and reactions in support of the star.
