Jon Bon Jovi is a rock star like no other. So it is only fitting that a watch that pays tribute to his legacy is unique as well.

The Jaquet Droz Tourbillon watch has a 41-millimetre dial — or should we just say it’s the diameter of the watch since there is no dial as such? The watch has an airy, skeletal design. At the 12 o’clock position, the tourbillon with the engraving ‘Bon Jovi’ appears to float in mid-air.

Right below the tourbillon is a hand-crafted logo of Bon Jovi. Made of white gold, it bears the number ’40’ engraved on the heart to celebrate the band’s anniversary. The hour and minute hands are positioned right at the centre of the heart. In doing so, the watchmaker has created a rich symbolism — “between the soul and time, the heart and mind”, a philosophy which Jon Bon Jovi believed in.

The watch is crafted out of 18 carats of red gold, while the frame of the tourbillon is made of titanium. This timepiece is completed by a rolled-edge hand-made black leather strap.

Which movement powers this special Jaquet Droz Bon Jovi watch?

Under the hood, the Jaquet Droz Tourbillon Skelet Red Gold – Bon Jovi is fitted with the watchmaker’s in-house 2625SQ skeleton tourbillon movement. This self-winding mechanical movement comes with a silicon balance spring and pallet horns.

The mechanical movement is made of 30 jewels and has its unique serial number engraved on the oscillating weight. Each winding of the movement can provide a power reserve of up to eight days.

All the components of the movement have been crafted and polished by hand. Jon Bon Jovi personally oversaw the creation of the entire watch to ensure that it, indeed, is unique to a T.
